Bandar Seri Begawan - Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah conducted a sharing session regarding the JENESYS East Asia Future Leaders Programme yesterday. Facilitating the session was the Acting Deputy Principal of the college, Pg Hjh Mashayu Pg Hj Yusof, who was also once a participant at the East Asia Future Leaders Programme.

Among others present during the session were Minister Counsellor at the Japanese Embassy, Mr Masaharu Sato, a researcher from the embassy, Ms Chieko Tokuyama as well as an assistant from the Culture Section of the embassy, Ms Noraini Hj Sulaiman, a representative from the International Unit, Department of Schools, Dyg Hjh Norlina Hj Md Noor, as well as deputy principals from Cluster 6 institutions and the college's teaching staff.

Deputy Principal academic MDPMAMB, Dyg Joanna Lim Jok Hon, in her speech stated the aim of promoting Japan and environmental education. A mini exhibition also took place during the session, which included an explanation regarding the contents of the JENESYS East Asia Future Leaders Programme during its two weeks.

Brochures, reports, booklets, information, photos and videos of events such as lectures and site visits from the programme were also displayed for the audience, covering the environment in terms of current issues, education, policies and, the Ministry of Environment in Japan.

Information was also provided regarding the Panasonic centre in Tokyo, Chubo landfill site, the sea forest, National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Miyako Ecological Centre in Kyoto and much more.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
