German Delegates Visit Jati Transport
Bandar Seri Begawan - Germany's Deputy Minister of Economics Baden-Wurttemberg, Richard Drautz, along with his entourage visited Jati Transport, Mercedes-Benz General Distributor for Daimler AG in Brunei, yesterday in Beribi.
Also in attendance were Pg Anak Hj Jaafar, Executive Chairman of Jati Transport Sdn Bhd, Andrew Chiam, Executive Director and Dr Thomas Bruns, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Brunei Darussalam.
The tour of Jati, 6ne of a number of visits to various businesses and government organisations in Brunei, by the group of German Government representatives and business leaders, focussed on Mercedes-Benz products, which are produced in the city of Stuttgart, a province of BadenWurttemberg.
Phil Myhre, General Manager of Jati Transport welcomed the group on their arrival.
He was accompanied by Heads of Departments as the delegates were shown around the facility.
In his address at the showroom, Richard Drautz said he was "proud to see Mercedes-Benz vehicles produced in our province in Germany delivered to customers so far away in Brunei Darussalam".
The delegates' visit to Brunei Darussalam is part of their tour of Southeast Asia. Their next destination is Bangkok, Thailand. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
