Bandar Seri Begawan - As part of a national initiative to foster closer ties between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore, SOAS College is playing host to a group of 10 students and two teachers from Victoria School, Singapore who are currently in Brunei on an educational visit.

Both schools are taking part in an ongoing twinning programme with the aim of promoting greater cultural exchange and educational interaction. The group arrived in Brunei on Monday and is scheduled to return to Singapore on November 23.

The SOAS College Organising Committee, chaired by Principal Pg Hj Zahari bin Pg Hj Ahmad, has taken the responsibility of ensuring that the visitors will enjoy their time in Brunei. The visit, of which the itinerary includes various interesting sharing sessions, a lake cruise, visits to the Brunei Museum and the Royal Regalia, will end with a Gala Night on November 22.

The Gala Night promises to be a night to remember, with various performances planned and a delicious dinner. "We are all very excited and fortunate to have such a good opportunity for our students to meet and share ideas with our visitors," said Mr Fahim Docrat, the spokesman for SOAS College. "We hope that we have many such visits in the future!"
