HM Congratulates Oman On N-Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has sent a congratulatory message to Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al-Said of Oman on the occasion of the country's 39th National Day.

In the message, His Majesty sent his warmest congratulations to Sultan Qaboos and expressed great satisfaction with the warm and close cooperation shared by the two countries.

The monarch also referred to the recent consultations in Brunei and the wider scope of cooperation in the areas of education, health, trade and the economy, as testimony to the good relationship of both countries.

His Majesty looked forward to continuing to work with Sultan Qaboos to further enhance the much-valued relationship in the coming years.

His Majesty extended his best wishes that Allah (SWT) would bless Sultan Qaboos with continued good health and happiness, as well as His continuous protection, and the people of Oman blessed with continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah sent a separate congratulatory message to Oman's minister responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

"I would like to send my warmest respects to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on His Majesty's 69th birthday and my congratulations to you and to the government and people of Oman on your National Day," the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade stated.

HRH added that it was a great pleasure to work with his counterpart in their chairmanship during the recent Mean-Gulf Cooperation Council Meeting and appreciated his support and friendship.

"I look forward to many further opportunities to continue strengthening our countries' longstanding friendship, goodwill and cooperation," HRH added.

The minister also extended his best wishes to Yousuf for his good health and happiness and the pros-perky of the people of Oman.-- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
