Flyers Cause Damage To Vehicle
Bandar Seri Begawan - Members of the public have raised complaints over the pasting of flyers on cars parked at government complexes at the Old Airport by staff of business establishments who find this a better approach in promoting their businesses.
The public are aware that it is not wrong for these employees to do so, as it reflects their effort and commitment in making their businesses a success. Yet in doing so, they should also keep in mind not to cause any damages to the cars.
This was highlighted by a personnel at one of the ministries whose car was damaged by these flyers. The heavy rain followed by the hot weather had made the flyers' from a well-known eatery stuck to her car, which couldn't be removed as it would cause scratches.
Disappointed, she decided to call the staff whose name is printed on the flyer and instead, was told to send her car to a car wash.
She requested for the eatery to pay for the damages if there are any scratches caused by the flyers but the staff refused.
The staff gave all sorts of excuses saying that the flyers were placed under her car wiper but according to the police, if that is the case then the flyer should not have got stuck to her car.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
