Kuala Belait - Nineteen students from Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School visited the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre in Seria as one of their activities after finishing their end-of-year examinations recently.

The Form Four students were greeted by the crew of the centre and listened to a briefing on the function and history of the centre. They also listened to the explanation on the importance of oil and gas to the country as the source of the nation's revenue.

During the visit, the students enjoyed the games and experiments in the hall. They also viewed several sections in the exhibition hall such as electrical section, weather section, energy section and many more that might be part of their Geography and Science subjects next year.

Cikgu Noor Aliham bin Muhamad who led the group said it was their first trip to the OGDC and the students had worked together to organise the trip, as the school term will end in late November.

The students will be sitting for the `O' Level examinations next year. Cikgu Noor Aliham hoped the visit would improve their knowledge and information about oil and gas in Brunei Darussalam.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
