MBB To Host Unique Workshop For Youths
Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Youth Council (MBB) will host a unique workshop activity on Tuesday where youths nationwide and from abroad will be grouped and sent to all four districts to discuss matters with key figures and communities.
It is part of the Muslim Youth Dialog in the Malay Archipelago and is organised by the Brunei Youth Council in cooperation with the Islamic Dakwah Centre.
Around 400 youths will take part in the workshop activity.
The opening ceremony will be held tomorrow, November 9 (Monday), at the main hall of Seri Begawan Religious Teacher University College (KUPUSB). The Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr. Ustaz Hj Awg Md Zain bin Hj Serudin is scheduled to officiate the event.
The dialog activity is held in conjunction with the 63'd birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam.
It is organised as a manifestation and contribution of Non-Government Organisations (NGO), especially MBB in realising the Titah of His Majesty the Sultan in the Monarch's hopes and aspirations on the significance of youths in life.
The theme in this event carries "The Perfect Morality of Islamic Youth" or "Kesempurnaan Akhlak Belia Islam".
The meet will be divided into two events; Deliberation of Working Papers after the opening ceremony on Monday, and a workshop on Tuesday.
During the dialogue, the Minister of Religious Affairs will be making an interesting keynote. Followed by deliberation of working papers.
From Brunei, there will be two working papers; Pengiran Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Hj Bahar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs will be deliberating his papers with the theme "Implementing Morality" or "Penghayatan Akhlak".
Prof Madya Dr Hj Kasim bin Hj Abd Hamid, President of the MBB will be deliberating his own paper entitled "Pious Child, Happy parents" or "Anak Soleh, Indung bahagia".
From Indonesia, Shofwan Al-Banna Choiruzzadd from Universitas Indonesia will be deliberating his paper entitled "Citarasa, Pilihan dan Jatidiri Idola Islam)".
From Malaysia, Mohamed Mailiki bin Mohamed Rapiee, a working committee member of the Malaysia Youth Council will be presenting his paper entitled "Penjurusan tarbiah and Sahsiah"
The young Deputy Mufti of Negeri Sembilan, Norazmi, will also be speaking after the opening ceremony.
From Singapore, Suryakenchana bin Omar, Vice President of the Malay Youths in Singapore (4PM), will also be deliberating his paper.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
