State Mufti's Office Marks 15thAnniversary
Bandar Seri Begawan - To mark its 15th year of establishment, the State Mufti's Office held a special prayers and thanksgiving ceremony yesterday at the Darulifta Brunei Darussalam Complex in the capital.
The event was attended by the State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Hj Abdul Aziz Juned and Deputy State Mufti Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Hj Suhaili Hj Mohiddin.
The ceremony began with a mass Isya prayers followed by a special Sunat Hajat prayers and thanksgiving doa read by the Deputy State Mufti.
The event ended with presentation of certificates and prizes to seven senior religious officials who have contributed their services to the State Mufti's Office.
Earlier, the State Mufti's Office also held Tahlil rites at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Mahrum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khaki Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit.
The ceremony was also attended by the State Mufti, Deputy State Mufti and senior officers of the State Mufti's Office. -- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
