250 Teams Set To Compete For Telbru's `Let's Shop' Campaign

Bandar Seri Begawan - Following the resounding success of last year's `Let's Cruise' campaign, Te1Bru continues its promotional series of events this year with `Let's Shop', a fun-filled occasion that will see hundreds of its loyal customers battle it out for top shopping honours on the grounds of Gadong's busy commercial area December 6.

Two hundred and fifty teams, represented by two shoppers each, were drawn yesterday at TelBru headquarters at the Old Airport, Berakas to participate in this event. Over 6,000 contest forms were submitted throughout the `Let's Shop' campaign period from March to October, and now the chosen teams stand to win fabulous overseas shopping trips.

On the event date, teams will gather at the lobby of The Mall at lam before setting out on a quest to search for solutions to riddles and puzzles scattered around the area.

`Let's Shop' banners will be displayed on the front of about 30 participating retail stores.

Using `shopper's cards' that were given away for every $20 spent on TelBru's products or services since the campaign began on March 1, participants will be required to submit their answers and solutions to 25 `Let's Shop' checkout terminals located in the area to obtain shopping points. The team with the most points wins.

For this year's campaign, participants stand a chance to win a four-day, three-night shopping trip to Hong Kong complete with shopping cash as part of the grand prize. A four-day, three-night shopping trip to Singapore, together with shopping cash, will be given to the second prize winner while third-placed winners will take home cash and a four-day, three-night shopping trip to Kuala Lumpur. Remaining shoppers will receive a variety of consolation prizes

`Let's Shop' is a continuation of TelBru's annual `Let's' series of promotional events that started in 2005 with `Let's Fly', where winners took home three return air tickets to Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Bill payers who cleared their bills in full amount took part in a lucky dip where winners were given tickets to a variety of blockbuster movies during the `Let's Watch' campaign in 2006.

In 2007, loyal TelBru customers, ran, swam, solved clues, raced and outwitted each other during the `Let's Race' campaign, followed by the `Let's Cruise' campaign in 2008 where the top three winners were given cruise holiday packages.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

Instead, can't Telbru just provide better broadband speed to its customers?
