`VeOIP' Makes Staying In Touch More Affordable

Bandar Seri Begawan - SMM Communications Sdn Bhd, a local company founded by a former director of Jabatan Telekom Brunei (JTB), yesterday announced the launch of its new VoIP product, the "VeOIP" Global Prepaid calling card, which runs on an intelligent next-generation VoIP platform.

VeOIP is -a local and long distance calling service that uses the latest technology to combine voice and Internet networks to provide quality, reliable and cost-effective inbound and outbound long-distance calling solutions.

Users can use their regular phone or cell phone as well as VeOIP's softphone and mobile dialer to use all of its services.

VeOIP services are accessible by calling 18008080 (toll free from any landline phone) or 2238080 (from mobile phones). It can also be used to make calls, which can be triggered by sending an SMS to access number +6738831838.

According to the Chairman of SMM Communications, Dato Paduka Buntar Osman, the new product will enable anyone to make international and long distance calls from anywhere - whether they are in Brunei or overseas - "at a much more affordable rate".

Whether you are an executive making an overseas business call or a parent calling your children who are studying overseas, this product will certainly provide you with great convenience.

This product can also be used by people travelling abroad.

According to Dato Paduka Buntar Osman, they can make cheaper calls through the company's SMS call service, while those with Internet access can log on to the company's web site and make "web calls".

He said that SMM Communications would be launching more value added services in the future.

"With our fresh, young and innovative team taking care of product development in SMM Communications, our products and services will cater not only to the traditional calling card market, but also to young executives, tech-savvy groups, high-tech consumers, corporate users, Internet cafes and call shop operators through various services we are planning to launch in the near future," Dato Paduka Buntar Osman added.

At yesterday's launching ceremony, Mohd Reza Nazamuddin, the Senior Business & Technical Consultant to SMM Communications, showed the public how easy it was to use the new product.
