Bandar Seri Begawan - Year nine students of St John's School organised an educational field trip to the Narcotics Control Bureau and Radio Television Brunei in the capital, as an activity after their Peperiksaan Menengah Bawah examination recently.

The objectives of the visit were to educate the students on illegal drugs and gain first hand information on Radio Television Brunei facilities and its operations.

Their first visit was the Narcotics Control Bureau where they were welcomed, briefed and shown different drugs being abused in Brunei.

They also had the opportunity to see the detention cells where suspected drugs users are held for investigation;

Later in the afternoon they proceeded to Radio Television Brunei to learn the tasks of the announcers and newscasters and its general objectives.

They were toured to different sections of radio stations and witnessed and learned how a 'DJ' talked to another 'DJ' from another station.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
