Talk On Islamic Medicine For BAG Networks

Bandar Seri Begawan - BAG Networks yesterday invited a speaker from Pusat Da'wah Islamiah to talk about traditional versus Islamic medications. Ustaz Hj Anuari spoke to some 20 staff members of BAG Networks on the background and history of Islamic medicine, as well as the role that it plays in the modern world where traditional ones are typically sought after at hospitals.

"According to Islamic tradition, when a person falls sick at home, it is proper to recite prayers or the doa before taking him/her to the hospital," BAG Networks' spokesperson, Pg Hj Emran PSW Pg Hj Ahmad, told the Borneo Bulletin.

There has to be a balance between spiritual and physical healing, he added. The hour-long talk was part of BAG's knowledge-sharing activities that are held weekly which sees speakers from various departments talk to the staff on a particular issue. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
