Bandar Seri Begawan - `Fares fair', the sixth Abacus Holiday and Travel Fair comes to town to showcase a wide range of travel options while also allowing customers to win multiple prizes.

The two-day fair, which begins on October 29, is organised by Abacus Brunei and will take place at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong. It will also include Abacus travel partners such as airlines, national tourist offices, hotels and travel agents.

It aims to provide a unique platform to promote and showcase products as well as services to stimulate demand at both ends of the spectrum, providing travellers with the convenience of shopping for a wide range of great travel deals under one roof.

Irene Soon, General Manager of Abacus Brunei said, "At Abacus Brunei, we have successfully organised five previous travel fairs since 2004.

"We are looking forward to pull thousands of people in search of dream vacations to this much anticipated event."

Abd Halim Haji Abd Rahman, Sales and Marketing of Abacus Brunei explained that there will be 17 stalls comprising Royal Brunei Airlines, Brunei Tourism Development Department, Baiduri Bank Sdn Bhd, Tourism Malaysia, Royal Brunei Catering, Telekom Brunei Berhad, Takaful IBB Berhad and seven Abacus Brunei based agents, each showcasing special deals and promotions for travelling across the globe.

"The presence of Brunei Tourism plays an important role in supporting Royal Brunei Airlines as well as travel agents to help promote domestic tourism," he said.

"Overall this travel fair provides an excellent opportunity for Brunei based travellers to shop for both overseas and local packages and is an event not to be missed."

Other than the attractive travel deals, many opportunities will also be presented to win attractive prizes such as economy class air tickets to Singapore, business class air tickets to Saigon and Perth.

Multiple meal vouchers or even a cash prize of $500 for one lucky visitor are up for grabs.

The visitors only need to guess the number of tickets contained in a mystery box.

Furthermore, a special promotion is also being offered thanks to Baiduri Bank. American Express and Royal Brunei Airlines are allowing 100 customers to make purchases using their American Express card during the travel fair to win an exclusive gift.

All customers using their American Express credit card during the fair could walk away with an Apple iPhone 3GB in another lucky draw. Entertainment for families will be provided throughout the fair.

Activities include quizzes, games and colouring contests designed to entertain visitors and their families.

Participants taking part in the quiz, colouring contests and games stand a chance to win prizes daily as well as an exclusive gift for the first 100 customers using their American Express, Baiduri Credit Card and American Express/Baiduri co-branding card with Royal Brunei Airlines to make payments.
