Remove Tinted Glasses, Malaysian Motorists Told
Bandar Seri Begawan - Malaysian drivers crossing the border into Brunei have been urged to remove tinted glasses on their cars to abide by the Sultanate's traffic rules and regulations.
Over a dozen Malaysian drivers were caught driving with tinted glasses during a one-and-a-halfhour operation, which began at 1.45pm Tuesday afternoon at Sungai Tujoh bordering Belait and Miri.
This was highlighted by Chief of Legal and Enforcement of the Land Transport Department, Hj Suaib bin Hj Mohd Taib, to the Bulletin yesterday.
"There are drivers who still do not comply with the country's rules. But they cooperated with the LTD personnel by removing the tinted glasses. Malaysia allows the use of such tinted glasses.
"Bruneian drivers adhere to Malaysian rules by installing the third brake light when they cross the border to Miri or Limbang," he said, citing harmonisation in Asean.
