Bandar Seri Begawan - The Investigations and Traffic Control Department of the Royal Brunei Police Force's latest reports reveal a number of cases covering various categories occurring between September 19 and September 24.

Over this five-day period, 22 car accidents were reported with an additional 20 self-accidents, all of which resulted in one major injury and nine minor injuries,

Statistics provided by the department has also shown that most of the accidents occurred in the Brunei Muara District with 28 cases 10 in the Belait District, four in Tutong. No accidents were recorded in Temburong District.

Meanwhile 28 theft cases have been reported in various locations nationwide, but the Brunei-Muara District saw the highest concentration of these crimes. Among the stolen items were cash amounting to over seven thousand dollars, jewellery worth two thousand dollars, as well as personal items including handphones, gas cylinders and electronic devices. The thefts occurred through the breaking and entering of cars, houses and buildings.

Other crimes experienced include unknown deaths, mugging, fraud, assault, and various others adding up to a total of 56 cases. Cases involving drugs also resulted in four arrests where two locals between the ages of 25 to 38 were detained.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
