Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has sent a congratulatory message to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the country's 79th National Day yesterday.

In the message, His Majesty sent his warmest congratulations to King Abdullah and his government and people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of its National Day, according to a press statement from His Majesty's Office.

His Majesty also prayed to Allah (SWT) that He bless King Abdullah with good health and happiness. The monarch also looked forward to continuing to strengthen the warm friendship and brotherly relations shared by the people of Brunei and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah sent a separate congratulatory message to Prince Saud Al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"I am very pleased to present my deepest respects to His Majesty King Abdullah and the Royal Family, together with my congratulations to Your Royal Highness, and to the government and people of Saudi Arabia on your National Day," His Royal Highness stated.

His Royal Highness also thanked the minister and Saudi Arabia's government for all its efforts on peace and stability in the Middle East. "I look forward to continuing to work closely with Your Royal Highness to deepen and strengthen our friendship and brotherly cooperation in the coming year."
