Ministry Of Religious Affairs Holds Tedarus And Speech

The guest of honour was Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awg Othman. Also in attendance were senior officers as well as staff under the ministry and nearby village residents.
The ceremony began with the mass recital of surah al-fatihah led by Awang Md Zulhilmi bin Md Jefri, Imam of Masjid Pekan Seria and followed by the recital of surah al-baqarah by Awand Md Zulhafiz bin Awg Tengah.
After the recital of prayers, the guest of honour presented a speech on Tafsir al-Quran. The ceremony ended with a doa selamat led by Awang Saufi bin Hj Suhaimi.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
