Premier Automobiles Sdn Bhd yesterday held a press launch for the Ford Mondeo Wagon, where media personnel got a chance to see the car up close. The Ford Mondeo Wagon comes in two diesel engines - 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre.

The engine offers strong engine torque performance combines with low noise levels and excellent fuel economy.

The cylinder head and block are made of precision-cast iron. The noise-attenuating and strength properties of a cast iron design help keep the noise considerably low at a level that is regarded as excellent among all comparable modern diesel engines and adds to the limousine-like qualities of the new Mondeo.

Built in entertainment player designed in silver to match the interior.

The Mondeo is designed for comprehensive protection and has earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating. There are seven airbags, including a driver knee airbag and can deploy to protect the driver and passengers.

The side-intrusion door beams and safety cage construction provide substantial crash protection. Projector beam headlamps produce a light pattern that helps cut through the night.
