Bandar Seri Begawan - Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, a non-government organisation, has implemented various projects and activities in line with the policies of its establishment, either on its own or with strategic partners.

One such project was the Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Memorial Lecture Ceremony (SOAS Memorial Lecture) was held on February 25 this year. It was officiated by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

The lecture is one of the academic programmes organised by Yayasan as part of its contribution in the academic field, namely, to increase and expand knowledge among the society. It was organised with the cooperation from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). The SOAS Memorial Lecture was also supported by the High Commission of Singapore in Brunei Darussalam.

The first SOAS Memorial Lecture invited Dato Leila Utama Lee Kuan Yew, Minister Mentor Republic of Singapore, to deliver a speech.

The whole event was captured by York Imaging Sdn Bhd, which is also supporting the efforts of Yayasan, to commemorate the launching of SOAS Memorial Lecture Ceremony.

The photos during the event were made into a photo story book and two copies were handed over to Yayasan yesterday.

Present to hand over the photo story book was-Vincent Tan, Director of York Imaging Sdn Bhd. it was received by Dato Paduka Haji Ali Hashim bin Haji Daud, and the Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

Meanwhile, another copy was handed over to High Commission of Singapore in Brunei Darussalam, which was represented by KR Nithianandum, Acting High Commissioner.
