Canadian High Commissioner Makes Courtesy Call On Minister Of Home Affairs
Bandar Seri Begawan - The High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam, Mr Wendell Sanford, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg, Hj Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Diraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Hj Awang Yussof, yesterday.
During the courtesy call, the two discussed mutual interests, which included the use of 'NORSAT communication technology by the Natural Disaster Management Centre (NDIVIC).
They also touched on Plantiga Technologies individual tracking footwear, which is of potential interest to the Prisons Department as well as the Fire and Rescue Department.
The product enables the tracking of each individual by the way they walk.
This tracking technology would greatly benefit prison guards as well as firemen in a burning building. Should they find themselves in trouble, the search for them will be made easier. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
