Karatedo training with a yoga twist

Realising the benefits of incorporating yoga into Karatedo training, the Wadokai Karatedo Brunei Darussalam Association has invited a qualified Malaysian yoga instructor to its training sessions.
Yoga instructor Didi Ananda Unmesa is here for an eight-week period to assist with the incorporating of yoga postures and mind exercises into the Karatedo training.
"Yoga stretching workouts have proven to help increase body balance, flexibility, strength and suppleness, while improving physical fitness level and maintaining body weight, especially for Kumite players," said Shihan Haji Malai Mohammed bin Hj Malai Othman, the club president and chief instructor.
By incorporation yoga into the training, the Wadokai Association hopes to expand the teaching of Mokuso (Japanese for meditation), which is similar to yoga mind exercise. It serves as a powerful tool to build up focus, relaxation, mental concentration and manage stress.
Traditionally, Mokuso is usually performed by all karate students at the start and end of each training session for at least one minute to calm the mind and relax the body. It also assists in increasing mental strength and physical endurance, said Haji Malai
Apart from conducting lessons for adults and children, Didi Ananda Unmesa also teaches basic, intermediate and advanced yoga courses as well as the yoga teachers training courses (theory and practical); healthy lifestyle programme (HLP); healthy vegetarian cooking and yoga retreat camp.
The venue for course lessons and trainings will be the Wadokai Karatedo Headquarters in Kuala Belait. Morning, afternoon and evenings lessons will be available. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

Durang inda mengharamkan Arak dan Todi. Pelacur sana sini ada licence lagi tu. Restaurants dan Liquour Bars are every where.Night Clubs are making big money.Those are haram. Our country berprinsipkan MIB dengan kerajaan yang berwibawa. Bukanya lantak paku mati saja. Menghormati dan maka di hormati olih msyarakat berbilang kaum yang menganut belbagai ugama.
Yoga bila di gunakan dan di practickan secara bersenam dan gerakan badan ia memberi hasil. Bagi kita bila bertafakur gunakan cara kita sendiri dan tumpukan pada segala puji pujian kebesaran allah dan rasullnya.
Emak saya 70 tahun ikut serta latihan yoga baru baru ini dengan basic yoga exercise. Baru tiga lessons 2 jam sekali, Alhamdullilah,dengan kegemaran yang baru ini beliau kelihatan sedikit2 segar. "Nyaman badan ku sedikit, lai" kata beliau pada saya.
Demi kesejahtraan dan kesihatan kita buat apa yang patut bagi diri sendiri dan gunakan lah minda yang di berikan allah itu dengan sepenuhnya.
