Members of the local press listening to the briefing on Audi's schedule of events for its upcoming anniversary.
Audi will be celebrating its centenary anniversary this year by launching a new web portal that would benefit new car buyers of which nine out of 10 used the Internet to make their decisions, a recent survey taken in Europe showed.
Designed by Audi AG, the new web portal will replace the existing format currently used by over 80 global Audi markets.
Dubbed "NextGen", the portal was initially launched in Germany back in December 2008 and was scheduled to be implemented on other markets to adapt and go "live" within 2009.
In Brunei Darussalam, the NextGen portal will go live today, a week prior to Audi's 100-year anniversary.
Members of the media were given a sneak preview of the new website yesterday, getting the opportunity to see many new key features and the overall redesigned look of the new Audi Brunei website (www.Audi-Brunei.com).
To date, www.audi-brunei.com receives an average of 544 unique visitors every month, spending an average of seven minutes browsing through updates as well as reading up on TCY Motors - Audi's official dealership in Brunei - current and upcoming stable of premium vehicles available for the local market.
In June alone, the existing website received 617 visitors, according to data provided by Omniture.com commissioned by Audi AG.
In a recent survey in Europe, nine of 10 new car buyers used the Internet for information with 100 million visits registered on global Audi web portals combined.
TCY is set to add the new Audi A6 sedan and the A6 Avant to their list of Audi vehicles currently available, with a limited edition Audi TT Coupe with only three units brought in from the 40 units allocated by Audi AG for the Asean market.
A titanium package for the Audi A3 Sportback will also be available along with the much-awaited Audi Q5 SUV that will be launched in Brunei during the third quarter of this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
