Royal Brunei Marine Police holds joint operation to monitor Brunei waters
The Royal Brunei Marine Police yesterday held a joint operation for the first time with other local enforcement agencies.
ASP Hj Mahran Hj Ahmad, the Senior Operations Officer I of the Marine Police headed the operation.
Among the aims of the operation was for the law enforcement agencies in the country to collaborate to prevent and eradicate crimes committed in the Brunei waters.
In addition, the joint operation was held in preparation of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's birthday to monitor illegal activities especially on the boundaries of Brunei waters.
Over 87 members from the Royal Brunei Marine Police, Internal Security Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Customs and Excise Department, Narcotics Control Bureau and Fisheries Department took part in yesterday's joint operation. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
