Fake $100 Found, Call-Girls Busted: Police

100-dollar-noteBandar Seri Begawan - A Forged Brunei $I00 note surfaced last Tuesday (June 30) which was reported by the staff in charge of remittance at a bank, the police said yesterday.

Muara police station received the fake note bearing the number B/4 274547 and issued in 1990. The fake note did not have a silver line and has low paper quality.

There is also a crest at number 7 and that the image of His Majesty is obvious even without the light at the left side of the note.

The police are seeking public cooperation in reporting cases of fake currency to the police hotline 993.

Meanwhile, police busted a prostitution activity at a hotel in the capital last Monday (June 29). The police anti-vice unit inspected two rooms at the hotel’s second floor at 2.20pm.

Two Chinese nationals were found lying naked with two men in one of the rooms. Another two Chinese nationals were found in the other room.

Police collected evidence, including 20 pieces of condoms, two lubricants, four handphones and two small books containing a list of clients seeking sex services.

The police also found various currencies, including BND$4,5I7, Chinese Yuan 7,270, HK $737.20, Singapore $50 and RM$l0.

The two Chinese nationals have been sentenced to two months’ imprisonment under Section 294 (a) of the Criminal Penal Code, while the other two Chinese nationals were deported to their country.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

This must be a Chinese Triads business operating in Brunei. The Government agencies should investigate this further to prevent human trafficking entering in Brunei.

only 2 months jail? are you kidding?
i am not surprised with these lenient sentences, these haram activities would SURELY continue.

a slap in the hand, thats these hookers get for bringing diseases (STDs), immorality and divorces to our beautiful Brunei get?

It should be 5 year minimum and $50,000 fine for the hookers and a life ban from ever entering Brunei again.

As for the male clients, i dont see why caning should not be used as a deterrent, a few months in prison, a few thousand dollars fine and a few strokes of the good ol' rotan.
Then you will see how effective this double pronged attack is.
