RBA Gets New CEO
Robert Yang
Bandar Seri Begawan - The Board of Directors of Royal Brunei Airlines Sdn Bhd is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robert Yang as Chief Executive Officer effective from July 1, 2009.
Robert Yang has over 16 years of experience in the aviation industry, having started his career with Singapore Airlines where he held various strategic positions.
Robert's aviation experience encompasses freight management, business development, marketing, sales and product development, airport operations and general management.
While at Singapore Airlines, he was posted to Hong Kong, Pakistan, New Zealand, London and New York. His last appointment with Singapore Airlines was as Vice President, Eastern USA and South America based in New York.
His career progressed from the airlines industry into supply chain where he held key positions from Managing Director to Chief Operating Officer for Excel, sister company of MSAS. He joined CEVA, a transportation and logistics company in 2007 as Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific prior to joining Royal Brunei Airlines.
Robert has held a number of company directorships in his career.
He holds a Bachelor and Master of Science (Mathematics and Computer Science) from University of Canterbury, New Zealand, Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Singapore Institute of Management and Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance, from the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, United Kingdom. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
