Ex-Prison Warden May Go To Jail For Alleged Corruption
It was alleged that he took $200 from Pg Abbas for his middleman services. The alleged incident took place on December 28, 2007, the court heard. Pg Abd Rahman was released on an $8,000 bail and the court imposed the usual restrictions, warning him not to interfere with witnesses.
DPP Pg Nina Jasmine PLKDR Pg Hj Bahrin is to produce seven witnesses. The charge carries a penalty of up to $30,000 and seven years in prison. Pg Abd Rahman is pleading not guilty. The case is to be heard again in July. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
