Guest of Honour presenting the flag to the Head of Contingent

Bandar Seri Begawan - Yesterday saw the flag presentation for the Fourth Junior Sports Festival to the Brunei-Muara District's Head of Contingent, Haji Hans bin Othman, Assistant Brunei Muara District Officer.

The ceremony was held at the Brunei Muara District office and was attended by officers from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, representatives from each participating team as well as athletes.

Ten sport categories comprising Football, Hockey, Badminton, Silat, Netball, Futsal, Ping-pong, Chess, Sepak Takraw and Athletics will be competed this year.

According to Dato Paduka Awang Haji Md Yussop bin Bakar, Brunei Muara District Officer and guest of honour, "188 athletes including officials and coaches from the Brunei Muara District will be involved in this event!'

Brunei Muara district was the overall winner last year bagging 29 gold medals, 21 bronzes and 15 silvers.
