Bandar Seri Begawan - The Second Brunei Darussalam International Defence Exhibition (Bridex) and Conference will be held from August 12 to 15 this year at the brand new exhibition centre in Jerudong facing the South China Sea.

The premier defence and security event in Southeast Asia brings the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of defence, as well as security equipment and systems.

In view of this, a briefing for local SMEs - wishing to take business opportunities available at Bridex and set-up kiosks, facilities and offering other services during Bridex was held yesterday at the Holiday Lodge.

The Chief Executive Officer of Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS), Lt Col (Rtd) Amir Hamzah Handl, delivered the talk. RBTS is the official organiser for Bridex 2009.

The services include setting up business centres, convenience stores, Internet kiosks, food and beverage kiosks, cash-dispensing machines, buggy rides and merchandise sales, among many others. High-level international, government, defence and security officials will also be in attendance.

Bridex is an exclusive marketplace to showcase or discover the latest innovative and value-enhancing technology-based solutions and services, as well as to provide an excellent platform for networking and enhancing relationships.
