8 Pass Diploma In Dental Hygiene And Therapy Programme, Examination

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Department of Dental Services, Ministry of Health last week conducted the final examination for the Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy.

The first group of eight candidates who had been undergoing the three-year training programme locally sat for the examination and all the candidates were successful in the examination with four of them achieving pass mark with merit, according to a press release.

The Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy is a programme conducted by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with King's College London Dental Institute.

The final examination took place at the National Dental Centre in Old Airport Road, Berakas on May 26.

The exams were invigilated by two external examiners, Professor Nairn Wilson OBE and Ms Mabel Slater MBE from the King's College London Dental Institute. This was the first occasion where this examination was held and where the entire training was conducted in Brunei Darussalam.

Dr Hjh Norlila bte Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Jalil, the Director General of Medical Services was the guest of honour at the ceremony to hand out the results of the examination.

The successful candidates were: Hjh Siti Maya Murnie bte Adi, Juliney bte Matair, Liyana bte Othman, Noornasari bte Hj Junaidi, Noramzalilawati bte Yasin, Nur amalina bte Hj Abdul Rahman, Siti Junaidah bte Dudi and Siti Zaiton bte Abdul Latif.
