| Dear Jane, I am a Chinese girl from Sabah working in Brunei for the past three years
in an office. Life had been normal until now. But I have a big problem. Lately I have
fallen in love with a local Brunei boy who is a Muslim. I am a non Muslim. We love each
other very much and we plan to get married one day. Can I marry him without changing my
religion? Mary, Jalan Sultan.
Dear Mary,
If you are serious in marrying this man there is no way
that can happen in Brunei without changing your religious faith. It would be a good idea
if you can talk to the Dakwah Centre, Phone 221353, Bandar Seri Begawan where they will
tell you what can be done. |

| Dear Jane, I am 15 years old and I go to a local school. It is a co-ed institution and
I have fallen in love with a schoolmate I meet every day. I do not think that she is aware
of my feelings, which is getting unbearable each day. I dont think that I can stand
it any longer. I do not even have the courage to talk to her or even look at her. What
shall I do? Michael, Kuala Belait.
Dear Michael,
It is quite normal for young boys to develop feelings
for members of the opposite sex. You will just have to endure and concentrate on your
books more. During the course of your life you will face many similar situations. It will
be up to you keep your head and go on doing what you have to do, in this instance study
hard and pass your exams. |

| Dear Jane, What shall I with my pimples which is bothering me so much. My face is
completely covered with them and I am developing a phobia. I have tried all sorts of
creams and nothing has worked. What Shall I do? Mariana, Bandar Seri
Begawan.
Dear Mariana,
There is no need to worry too much about your pimples.
Adolescents get this conditions at some stage or other. But if you think that your
condition is serious see a doctor at once. Do not try your hand at self-cure because it is
a medical condition which might need professional attention. |
