In line with new directives issued by the Energy Division of the Prime Minister's Office late last December, petrol stations in the country are now recording licence plate numbers of buyers as well as the amount of fuel they are buying, especially vehicles bearing foreign licence plates, as part of efforts to monitor and control the sale of gasoline and diesel in the country.
