PSA Muara was successful in managing the MCT when in February 2005 it crossed the 100,000-container mark in Brunei and has managed to keep it above this mark eversince.

The Ministry of Communications has assured importers, exporters, consignees, shipping agents, forwarding agents and other port users that the level of efficiency and productivity at the Muara Container Terminal (MCT) will be sustained following the news of the impending hand over of MCT operations by PSA Muara Container Terminal Sdn Bhd to the Ports Department.
