Ajang Hormat, a vessel that will
serve as a floating hotel to
accommodate employees of Brunei
Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd, as
well as support oil well
services and coil tubing
operations at its offshore
installations, was commissioned
yesterday morning at the Muara
harbour.

Imposters posing as officers from the Department of
Water Services have been going around to several homes saying that
their water supply will be 'cut off' if they do not settle their
bills, officials from the Department of Water Services said
yesterday.

$1,700 yesterday from the Fund for Flood Victims in the Temburong
District or "Tabung Bantuan Mangsa Banjir Daerah Temburong". The
$426,700 handed over yesterday came from the $529,351.18 collected
so far for the fund.

72 Cases Of
Illicit Sex Reported Last Year
Bandar Seri Begawan - A
total of 72 cases of illicit sex were registered in 2007 under Act 178
of the Syariah (Islamic) Law. These illegitimate relationships resulted
in birth of 44 children. Under Act 177, 172 cases of khalwat were
registered, which included 19 people under the age of
20.
