Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia are getting close to reaching some mutual understanding which will lead to the resumption of oil exploration off each other's overlapping territorial waters, following the current visit to the Sultanate by Prime Minister Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi of Malaysia for the 11th Annual Consultation meeting between the two countries.
