History At The Heart Of Bandar
Neglected
By Curious Mind
We all know that Brunei is stepping
up in its tourism drive. Among the programmes lined up by the
Tourism Department is the KNK programme (Kenali Negara Kitani),
tailored to reach out to the interest of fellow Bruneians.

Eco-tourism
as it may seem, has always been the focus of attracting
foreign tourists. This also goes to historical landmarks
such as the Museum and the Alat-Alat Kebesaran Diraja.
Bandar as the heart of the city and more likely would likely
be the centre of attention for tourists. However, one tends
to get particularly curious on landmarks which are also
right in front of their eyes. Some interesting historical
landmarks of great importance might have been missed out or
kept in the shadow for some unknown reason.
The one I am talking about
is the Chinese Temple in Bandar. Why not give this temple a
chance to be visited too? And also how about that thing
which looks like a royal mausoleum opposite Post |

Office Building in Bandar
Seri Begawan? They call it the ‘Dang Ayang Grave’.
Do give it a chance. If
Langkawi has ‘Mahsuri’, Brunei can have the ‘Dang Ayang’.
Why not? |
