BICPA-FTMS Accountancy Academy To Hold Workshops

Bandar Seri Begawan - Through its continuing development programme, BICPA-FTMS Accountancy Academy Sdn Bhd will be holding three workshops in November.

The workshop, namely Accounting for Assets, Effective Budgetary Planning and Control and Consolidated Financial Statement, offer an early bird discount for any registration made before Oct 29 and is open to the general public.

According to Ms Mislina Hanim Ibrahim, BICPA-FTMS General Manager, the workshop on Accounting for Assets is aimed at providing participants with knowledge and guidance.

It was highlighted that during the workshop, participants will learn on the issues on accounting for assets, as well as explanation on recognition, measurement and disclosure requirement of the assets.

Apart from that, they will also learn what comprises company assets and also coverage on inventories, property, plant and equipment, leases, franchise business, intangible assets, investment in shares, money market and non-current assets held for sale and discontinued operations.

The workshop on Accounting for Assets will be facilitated by an invited speaker, Ms Mary Balakrishnan, who has delivered in-house workshops for companies in the country and has received good rating. She also lectures at ACCA, CAT & CIMA in Malaysian Private Institutions, Ms Mislina said.

Upon completion, participants will be awarded with a certificate of attendance.
