Crown Prince In Semifinals

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Deputy Sultan booked a place in the semifinals of the Brunei 9-Ball Invitational Cup last night by upsetting Taiwan's Chang Jun Lin 9-8 in a nail-biting quarterfinal game at the National Indoor Stadium.

Leading the charge for Brunei's players, HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Deputy Sultan made the cut into the quarterfinals after defeating Ibrahim Amir of Malaysia 9-7 in the qualifying round.

The rest of the Brunei players were eliminated in the qualifying round where Md Hadie lost to Ronnie Alcano 2-9, Ak Saiful Azri thrashed by Chang Jun Lin 1-9, Ahmad Taufiq beaten by Md Zulfikri of Indonesia 4-9 and Md JohnnyAgil defeated by Bernard Tay 2-9.

HRH Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Deputy Sultan will play against Ricky Yang of Indonesia in the semifinals.

Ricky Yang secured a place in the semifinals after defeating Ronnie Alcano of Indonesia 9-6.

In the other semifinals, Wu Chia Ching of Taiwan will meet Dennis Orcollo of the Philippines,

Wu Chia Ching booked a spot in the semifinals by beating Bernard Tey 9-6 while Dennis Orcollo overcame Md Zulfikri of Indonesia 9-3.
