Ramadhan Fest Planned At Mall

Begawan - The Jawi Calligraphy Contest for participants between
eight and 12 years of age is amongst the line-up of special activities
planned for the very first Ramadhan Festival 2006 organised by the
Management of Abdul Razak Holdings/The Mall, with the consent and
support ofARH's Chairman and Managing Director Pehin Dato Seri Setia
Hj Abd Hapidz POKL Hj Abd Razak, in conjunction with the holy fasting
month.
The Mall's Manager, Roslaini Othman,
revealed this to media representatives during a press conference held
at the shopping complex's administration office yesterday morning,
adding that it will mark the first time that such an event has been
planned and could be conducted annually, depending on the response
that it receives.
Also present at the press conference
were the ARH Administration Manager/Director Hj Suhaimei Hj Besar,
Property Manager Hj Azlan Khalid, and Assistant Property
Manager Mohd Azni Dato Paduka Hj
Alidin.
The competition will be carried out
on The Mall's second floor on October 19, while registrations will
open from 5"' October onwards, offering its lucky winners some
interesting hampers sponsored by Utama Grand Superstore, as well as
cash prizes.
The Ramadhan Fest 2006 will begin
tomorrow with Al-Quran classes for kids free of charge and to be
carried out at the complex's Surau on its first floor. It is going to
be facilitated by teachers from IQRA, a local Quran Reading School,
and conducted in two sessions: 9.00-10.30am and 2.00-3.30pm.
As part of the programme, there will
also be a series of religious and motivational talks by invited
speakers from the Islamic Dakwah Centre. They are going to be
conducted on October 2, 9 and 16, at the end of which their attendees
will be presented with special free gifts.
The centre's Assistant Director Ustaz
Hj Mohamad Garing and Ustaz Ali Hassan the Head of Religious Talk Unit
will respectively present talks on "Puasa dan Kesannya Kepada
Kesihatan Manusia dan Ekonomi" and "Mencari Duit Kahwin".

Dk Norhayati Pg Hj Kasaran will then deliver a talk on "Wanita dan
Puasa". In addition, pastry demonstrations are planned by The Rizqun
International Hotel's chefs, who will also be distributing their
recipes.
Interested parties can just make
their appearances at the demonstrations when they take place at the
Food Court on The Mall's third floor from 2.00-4.00pm on October 4, 11
and 18.
There will be no entry fees and
