Petroleum BRUNEI Announces New CEO

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei National Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (PetroleumBRUNEI) have appointed Awg Hj Mohd Jaafar bin Hj Awg Bakar as their new Chief Executive Officer, a press release from PetroleumBRUNEI stated.

Awg Hj Mohd Jaafar, who currently holds the position of Manager for Hydrocarbon Processing and Infrastructure Asset in Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd will be seconded to PetroleumBRUNEI to take up the post of CEO. The appointment will take effect from October 2, 2006.

The press release also stated that Awg Mohammad Reduan Hj Mohd Yusof, General Manager Business Development and New Venture who is currently Acting CEO of PetroleumBRUNEl has been appointed as the Deputy CEO of PetroleumBRUNEI's Methanol project joint-venture company, Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd.
