Thousands Throng Istana Nurul Iman Nightly For Religious Activities

Bandar Seri Begawan - As Brunei observes the fifth day of Ramadhan, Istana Nurul Iman continues to receive thousands of Muslims who join the Royal family in glorifying and enlivening Ramadhan by performing religious activities at the royal palace.

Thousands of Muslims in the country conduct similar activities in mosques and suraus all over the country. But the biggest congregation remains at Istana Nurul Iman, with about 10,000 visitors coming every night.

Meanwhile, doctors and other members of the medical staff are on duty every night to offer their services. Some 400 military personnel, Fire and Rescue services and the police control traffic inside and outside the Istana. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
