Sultan Congratulates Japan's New PM

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to Mr Shinzo Abe on the occasion of his appointment as the new Prime Minister of Japan, RTB reported.

In the message, His Majesty extended his wishes for the success of the Japanese prime minister in his new post and looked forward to working together to strengthen the much valued relations between the two countries, both bilaterally and as partners in the Asia-Pacific region.

Shinzo Abe was elected Japanese prime minister by parliament on Tuesday, becoming at 52 the youngest Japanese leader since World War Two.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
