Raya Expo Opens At The Mall

Bandar Seri Begawan - Biscuits, cakes, carpets, clothes, shoes and jewellery are but a few Raya items that will be up for sale at an exhibition scheduled to open at the Atrium Hall, The Mall in Gadong today.

Over 45 booths have been set up for the event - organised by Ridah Handicraft - which has so far attracted dozens of local SME participants.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until October 6, to allow members of the public a chance to shop for their Raya necessities.

In preparation for the expo, The Mall was yesterday abuzz with activities.

One participant said that the exhibition allows SMEs not only a chance to make a little extra income, but it would also allow them to widen their business contacts.

Members of the public are welcome to check out the event that will feature hundreds of festive necessities from 10 am to 10 pm.

According to the organiser, the exhibition aims to promote local products while at the same time offer SMEs a chance to boost their business activities. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
