By Jon Tampoi

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Chinese community in the country will be celebrating the mooncake festival on October 6 or the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar.

The festival is one of the significant celebrations of the Chinese people.

As a preparation for the upcoming mooncake festival, a makeshift theatre has been set up at the Chinese Temple in Bandar Seri Begawan.

A Chinese opera will perform for a week beginning October 6 at the temple and for the comfort of the public who will be coming to watch the show, fans and basic amenities will also been installed at the area.

The opera presentation is also held to mark Guang Zhu Jun Wang's birthday celebration. The public especially Chinese opera fans are welcome to watch the presentation. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
