Hazy Conditions To Persist In Brunei For Few More Days
By Hj Mohd Said Arshad

Bandar Seri Begawan - The haze is expected to persist in Brunei at least until the end of September, the weather forecaster said yesterday.

Expected showers in the country are not likely to help much in clearing dust particles from winds blowing into the Sultanate from hot spot areas in South Kalimantan.

The first day of Ramadhan on Sunday was marked by hazy conditions, which had subsided a couple of weeks ago. A heavy downpour on Monday morning temporarily cleared the haze.

The public is advised to report any occurrence of bush fires to the Fire and Rescue Department at their hotline 995. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
