HK Dominates Skills Contest

Bandar Seri Begawan - It was a clean sweep for Hong Kong in Inchcape Asia Pacific Skills competition. Miss Tam Wing Suen and Mr Chan Wai Hung, both representing Crown Motors Ltd from Hong Kong, took top honours in the ServiceAdvisors' Skill category and Technicians' Skill contest category respectively.

The results were announced during the closing ceremony held at the Lexus Showroom, yesterday afternoon.

Miss Tam, who is the only female in the competition, also took home the medal for Best in Theory in the Service Advisors' Skill category.

"I underwent two to three months of preparation and training and was a little nervous to go up against men since I am the only lady in the competition," the first time winner said.

Runners-up in the same category went to Mr Sean Casibang of NBT (B) Sdn Bhd, while Mr Mohamed M bin M Kasmani of Borneo Motors took the medal for Best in Practical.

In the Technicians' Skill category, second place went to Mr Pedro R Villanueva of NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd who also took home the medal for Best in Theory. Champion Mr Chan Wai Hung took home the medal for Best in Practical.

Mr William Tsui, Chairman and Chief Executive of Inchcape Asia Pacific presented the medals and prizes to winners. He also complemented NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd for a job well done in organising the competition.

Also present at the ceremony were Mr Louis Wong, Director After Sales Inchcape Asia Pacific, as well as officials from respective companies.

This year's competition attracted participants from Atkin Kroll (Guam), Borneo N-iotors (Singapore), Champion Motors (Sin_aporc), Crown Motors Ltd (Hong Kong), Mazda iblotois (Hong Kong), Jaguar Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Microl Corporation (Saipan), Yat Fung (Macao) and NBT (Brunei).

This is the first time the Inclicape Asia Pacific Skill competition is being held in Brunei Darussalam, organised by NBT (B) Sdn Bhd.

Meanwhile, NBT (B) Sdn Bhd announcedd that the Lexus Showroom and Lexus Service Centre will resume normal operations today. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
