RBPF Personnel Complete Investigation Course

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 39 members of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) received their certificates yesterday at the Police Continuous Learning Centre in Beribi Gadong, after undergoing a 12-day general investigation course. The course was organised by the Department of Criminal Investigation and Training, RBPF and was held from September 11 till 23.

The guest of honour at the ceremony was Ag S/Supt Pg Kamaluddin- bin MR Pg Hj Jaya, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation.

The guest of honour in his speech highlighted several topics including the basics of investigation and criteria of an investigation officer, general powers of the police, methods in house breaks-in, and vehicle theft investigation and interrogation techniques.

Representing the participants of the course, Sgt. 1205 Masri bin Lamit said in his speech, "Through this course, we are able to add value in running our duties as investigators, and we hope that this course will be continued on as there is more that we can learn."

Towards the end of the ceremony, guest of honour presented a certificate to each of the participants. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
