New US DCM Visits BINA

Bandar Seri Begawan - The new US Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) to Brunei, Justin P. Friedman, made a courtesy call to the Brunei Industrial Development Authority (BINA) yesterday. He was accompanied by the Commercial Assistant at the Embassy of the United States of America, Monica Chee.

The Acting Director of BINA, Pg Sharifuddin Pg Hj Matali, was on hand to brief Mr Friedman on BINA's function.

Meanwhile, three visitors from CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) countries currently undergoing a two-month Development Programme For Government Middle-Management Officers (DPGMMO) course at UBD, also made a study visit to BINA yesterday.

They were accompanied by a lecturer from UBD's Faculty of Business, Economics and Policy Studies, and heard a briefing on BINA delivered by its Special Duties Officer, Hj Metassan Hj Abd Salim. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
