Dato Ompong Muslim Cemetery in their area.
Equipped with grass-cutting machines,
hoes, parangs and other landclearing tools, the kampong residents took
part in the annual gravesite cleaning campaign that was led by the

Housing Scheme.
Apart from trimming bushy and tall
growths at the cemetery, participants also cleared away dry leaves and

facilitate cemetery visitors who would usually spend time at the
gravesites of their departed ones' to offer prayers during the coming
month of Ramadhan as well as during Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.
He said the campaign was also meant
to cultivate a culture of excellence in the efforts to create harmony
amongst the village residents.
"The cleaning campaign is meant not
only to physically clean the compound of the Muslim cemetery but also
to cleanse the souls of people into performing charitable work at a
time when Muslims are about to commence the religious duty of fasting
during Ramadhan," he said.
He also called on village residents
to come forward to offer help in the next cleaning campaign.
Pg Hj Abu Bakar also encouraged his
