Contract signing for developing E-Learning courseware

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Learning Courseware paves the way towards a revolution in teaching and learning processes and environment by integrating and combining various media such as graphics, texts, sound, simulations and animations.

By providing more options when compared to traditional classroom methods, these tools will address the differences in both learning and teaching styles.

Aimed to create a set of courses of instruction by embracing the educational use of digital technology, the E-Learning Courseware is an innovative development project implemented by the Ministry of Education.

To support the, E-Leaming Courseware, a signing of contract for the development of the multimedia courseware project between three companies and the Curriculum Development Department took place yesterday morning at the Ministry of Education.

Syarikat Alif Technologies Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Yi Ecomodern Solution Sdn Bhd and Syarikat Qasya Technologies Sdn Bhd signed the contract with the Curriculum Development Department.

Syarikat Alif Technologies Sdn Bhd was represented by its Chairman and CEO, Pg Mohammad Bin Pg Hj Kamaluddin, while its Marketing Executive, S Kumaraguru, witnessed the event.

Syarikat Yi Ecomodern Solution Sdn Bhd's Executive Director, Philip Yeo Boon Guan, signed the contract and was witnessed by Jacky Fong Shiaw Cheng, the Assistant Operation Manager of the company.

Lastly, a representative of Syarikat Qasya Technologies Sdn Bhd, Hjh Dyg Msuri bte POKDGSDRDLU Hj Awg Rahman, the Business Development Director, inked the deal while Liau Tian Soon, the Director and Operation Manager, witnessed the signing event.

Representing the Curriculum Development Department at the signing ceremony was Hjh Aishab Binti Hj Muhammad Husain (DC), while Hj Jefri Bin Jais, Acting Head of Unit ICT, witnessed the ceremony.

Also present at the ceremony was the guest of honour, Hj Ghani Bin Hj Ornar, Director of the Information Technology and Communication Department at the Ministry of Education, who also witnessed the signing ceremony. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
