Bandar Seri
Begawan - B-League champions QAF FC stormed into the semifinals
of the 2006 League Cup when they defeated Premier 11 outfit Majra FC
4-1 in a quarterfinal tie last night at Belapan field.
QAF
FC's skipper Riwandi Wahit led his team to another convincing win with
two goals and one assist, but the team was shell-shocked when their
defender, Riwandi's brother - Mohd Safari was sent off five minutes
from the fijial whistle for handling the ball in. the penalty box.
Riwandi
opened accounts for QAF FC when he was found unmarked down the left of
the penalty area and blasted it into the back of the net in the 10th
minute.
QAF
FC moved forward to look for more goals when the other two brothers
Mardi and Hardi Bujang made an excellent telegraph move four minutes
later.

lobbed the ball over to Mardi in the box but only to see Majra FC's
keeper Md Faisal Hashim blocked the shot away.
It was QAF FC's Adie Arsham Muhamad
Salleh who extended the team's lead when he lobbed it over Md Faisal
Hashim to make it 2-0.
After the breather, Jefri Matassan
almost pulled a goal back for Majra FC after seeing his header saved
by QAF FC keeper Md Tarmizi Mat Johari.
It seemed' to be a wake-up call for
QAF FC and Riwandi displayed -another good performance when he sent in
a thumping header in the 68th minute.
Riwandi
assisted the team's fourth when he headed down the ball and past the
keeper which left Mardi a simple tap in into the net three minutes
later.
But QAF FC were reduced to 10 men
when Mohd Safari handed the shot by Jefri in his own penalty box and
he was shown a straight red card by the referee.
Mohd
Hendra Azam Mohd Idris converted the penalty and grabbed the
consolation goal for Majra FC in the 85' minute.
